Pauls’s Method
Orientation and Training for Children’s Ministries Leaders has taken place at MAPS for Gaborone & Molepolole Districts and at Goodhope for the Kanye, Lobatse, Mmathethe districts, at Gaborone Central Church, Motswedi Church. Most of the leaders are women. We desperately need more men to engage in this ministry to be role models for our boys. They grow up thinking that ‘’church’ is just for women and kids; when our boys become teens, they leave church.

Zechariah Project
Mrs Otukile was invited to evangelistic meetings in Selebi Phikwe by Mrs Justine Luyinda.  She was the only person baptized following the series in 2006. She has been tried severely since leaving the Catholic Church but her faith is strong and vibrant and she is active in winning souls to Christ. For some time now she has been ministering to the children in her neighbourhood.  Twenty children  are now attending church with her on a regular basis. Other members in the Kopano Church help her to transport these children to church every Sabbath.  Some of the older ones have been enrolled in VOP studies. She is certainly a shining example of  what a ‘fisher of men’ should be. Please pray for Mrs Otukile and her little flock.  We know that “when you take a child by the hand, you take the parent by the heart”! We trust that soon some of the parents of these children will be joining them in coming to church and learning more about a Saviour who loves them and cares for them and is coming back very soon.

Epaphras Ministry
Weeks of Prayers for children have been conducted in various churches in Botswana. The BU Children’s Ministry Department makes materials available for this purpose. This forms part of  the Department’s  commitment to the Epaphras Ministry Initiative. Pastor Irvin Gwatirenga was the guest speaker at  Gaborone Central Church for Children’s Week of Prayer early in March this year. Children were encouraged to bring visitors every night. Those who brought visitors presented them with a Bible from Remnant Publications. Many Chiyldren brought their non-SDA Parents, Uncles and Aunties to church!
